About the Book Editing & Publishing Track
The Book Editing & Publishing track is ideal for Writing or English majors, aspiring authors, content creators or those interested in marketing. Love Thy Neighborhood pairs interns with published authors working on their latest books or publishing projects. Projects range from editing full volume books to training guides to blogs. Projects have included a book on racial reconciliation, a textbook on the enneagram from a Christian perspective, VBS materials, church planting training materials and blogs for the Gospel Coalition. If you are pursuing a career in writing or content creation, this is the internship for you.
About Sojourn Midtown
This specific internship works with Sojourn Church Midtown. Sojourn Church Midtown started in 2000 engaging the people of our neighborhoods with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We care about the souls of men and women first but also physical needs, music, the arts, and community life. We exist to reach people with the gospel, be built together as a multi-cultural church, and send leaders, church planters, and missionaries all over the world as well as send our members everyday into every walk of life here in Louisville as witnesses to the gospel and part of the family of Sojourn.
Role of Book Editing Assistant:
Assisting the Pastor of Operations with various editing projects.
Responsibilities of Book Editing Assistant:
- Editing discipleship materials
- Editing blogs
- Editing and creating social media
