This position is through BsideU. BsideU For Life is committed to presenting the gospel of our Lord in word and deed by educating women facing crisis pregnancies, responding to their needs, and protecting the lives of unborn children. They are committed to provide these women with an open heart, an open mind, and an open ear to listen in order to respond to their needs.
They offer Life Skills Education to equip mothers and their children to live Godly and productive lives by sharing God’s word, encouraging Christian life choices, teaching practical living skills, and providing spiritual and emotional support. Their goal is to provide a safe and emotionally supportive place for women to hear and experience the trans-formative power of the Gospel while being equipped, in very practical ways, to live productive and flourishing lives.
Role of Pregnancy Center Assistant:
Intern will assist BsideU staff in running the Pregnancy Center. This position will look very different each day. Some day you will be handing out pregnancy tests all day, other days filing paper work and some talking calls or watching children. You will be the first face people see when they come into the pregnancy center. Some of the ladies visiting are very nervous or will be going through a really difficult season, creating a welcoming and caring environment is so important to each of the ladies that come through the door.
Responsibilities of Pregnancy Center Assistant:
- front desk reception
- administering pregnancy tests
- filing medical records and other office paperwork
- taking phone calls and calling to remind patients of their appointments
- running short term childcare while mother gets care
- creating a welcoming and caring environment for the women and children that visit the pregnancy center
- be available and flexible as various needs arise
